The LGBTQ Focus Foundation Launch Party Raises Funds for Hetrick-Martin Institute
The newly founded LGTBQ Focus Foundation had its official launch party on Sunday, April 3, 2016 at The Gilded Lily, raising more than $12,000 for the Hetrick-Martin Institute (HMI). More than 85 people attended the fundraiser, honoring Wes Powell, Chairman of the Board of the Hetrick-Martin Institute. City of New York Councilman Corey Johnson, and an HMI Emery recipient presented the award.

Attendee danced to the sounds of world renowned DJ Lina (and HMI ambassador), and enjoyed an open vodka bar sponsored by Stoli. A silent auction, including a trip to Panama, handbag from Ralph Lauren and tickets to the Emory Awards raised $2,450.
The LGBTQ Focus Foundation provides funds and awareness to support Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Questioning (LGBTQ) community organizations and their allies. The Foundation partners with gay and gay/straight alliances to fund innovative leaders and programs that promote equality, offer stability, educate and provide a safe environment.
